Rare Loot Studios in a small, indie game development company currently focusing on the production of Ironbound. As part of their efforts to gain attention to this title, they wanted an eye-catching visual brand.

Starting with a series of sketches displayed above, the leader of Rare Loot chose three of his top favorites for use as a logo. In the sketches, I wanted to keep close to the namesake and to Rare Loot's origins as a fantasy-genre gaming company. When designing the finals, I decided to stretch a bit past my personal, minimalist style and pull from both illustrative and game influences, producing the three vector logos displayed above the sketches. Ultimately, the minimalist logo caught the eye of the founder of the studio and I began to pull from that for the overall branding of Rare Loot.

Using the geometric triangles and the shades of gold found in the logo, I began applying it to their website and business cards.
